Sberbank connects cashless payments on airplanes

Sberbank and Catering Vnukovo (Sky Food Vnukovo) have launched a non-cash payment service for goods on board the aircraft.

To implement the project, the bank’s specialists have improved the software for a mobile online cash register with acquiring. The issue of the lack of the Internet was resolved using offline transactions technology: during the flight, all transactions are accumulated in the POS terminal, and upon landing of the aircraft, all offline transactions carried out on board are processed.
