JSC RTI and Huawei have entered into a strategic agreement on the localization of server production in Russia.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the development of joint software and hardware solutions in order to localize the production of specialized server industrial equipment based on the Huawei Kunpeng processor in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The agreement provides for the creation of an ecosystem of software based on ARM architecture processors that meet the security requirements for solutions supplied to government agencies.

To this end, RTI will develop a series of specialized software for operation on processors of the ARM architecture. The production site for assembling the servers will be the Saransk Television Plant, a member of the RTI group.

“Huawei chose RTI as a technology partner based on a number of factors. Among them are the availability of modern production facilities, on the basis of which the production of high-tech products is possible, as well as many years of experience in the development of automated control systems solutions for state executive bodies of all levels, which has been successfully confirmed in practice. We are confident in the success of our cooperation and in the creation of an effective joint software and hardware solution of Russian production, ”commented Xiao Haijun, CEO of Huawei Enterprise in the Eurasia region.

The release of the first joint batch of ARM servers is scheduled for late 2020 – early 2021.
