Ozon filed for IPO
Anna Savelyeva | 02.10.2020
The online retailer has filed a draft F-1 registration application with the SEC, but the number of shares to be listed and their price range have not yet been determined.
Ozon said the initial public offering is expected to take place after the SEC completes the review process, subject to market and other conditions. At the beginning of this year, the retailer planned to implement its plans by selling a monitor stake to Sberbank, but negotiations reached an impasse and the course changed towards an IPO.
Recall that together with Ozon, the Russian online cinema ivi wants to enter the exchange. Both platforms expect to raise funds for further development in this way.
Also at the end of last year, the HeadHanter job search platform was able to attract investors on the NASDAQ exchange. The company held an IPO on May 9 and raised $ 220 million by placing 16.3 million ADS at $ 13.5 per share. But Yandex postponed plans to withdraw Yandex.Taxi this spring due to transport restrictions during the coronavirus period, but analysts believe that the placement window may open in the near future.
IBS, which planned to enter the exchange in 2018 and raise about $ 100 million, has postponed the terms after the market situation deteriorated due to sanctions, and has not yet returned to this issue. Softline is going to submit documents within the next two to three years.
